ABOUT OUR LOGO:

• Our logo was drawn at the time, by a 12 year old autistic boy named Shawn. It is a picture of a friend of his who also has autism.  We chose the picture because it depicted the obvious joy that he saw in others.   We hope that through our mission, we can bring this joy to those we touch.

DREAM:

• There is worldwide knowledge and understanding of autism and related disorders.
• There is a complete and endless supply of funding for programs, education and quality of life for autistic families.
• Autism is perceived as a challenge to learning rather than a life-long disability.
• Autistic individuals develop to the levels of which they are capable irrespective of resources.

VISION:

In the year 2008,

• Allies for Autism Foundation is provincially recognized with chapters in 5 major cities.
• The “ Foundation “ has helped 30 organizations to provide unique learning experiences to the autism community.
• Treatment and awareness of autism is at the forefront of the government agenda.
• The “ Foundation “ has supported advances in research through funding.
• Group homes for autistic adults have been expanded through our funding efforts.
• There is an annual forum for service providers to facilitate one stop shopping.
• The autism community has an annual family get together.
• Our “foundation” has acquired enhanced fundraising skills and abilities.
• We have broadened potential funding opportunities to include casinos, private & corporate donations, pledges and endowments.
• We have funded a province wide autism awareness campaign and annual autism conferences.
• Our annual C.A.R.E.S. run proceeds have increased exponentially.
